The In situ Conservation Knowledge Base program aims to share knowledge about five kinds of crops: banana, cassava, potato, sweet potato and yam. By comparison with ex situ conservation techniques, it emphasizes the diversity of farms and landraces cultivated around the world and data collected from the field.
In the beginning, this project was an open database which researchers can extend over time. Later on, the organization decided to improve its presentation and to offer more editorial content. In collaboration with SO GRAPHIK', a new webdesign was implemented.
